Two agencies serving parts of the KVOE listening area are receiving state funding to increase vaccinations against coronavirus.
TFI Family Services is receiving over $4,000 as part of the Pandemic Assistance and Vaccine Equity, or PAVE, grant funding, while Wonderful Works Deliverance Center in Morris County is receiving $9,300.
It’s the first round of funding through this revenue stream, which is designed to reach high-risk populations inordinately affected by COVID, including minorities, older adults, long-term care facilities, foster families, single mothers, persons with disabilities, schools and rural areas. Grant funds will also fund transportation to vaccine sites as well as advertising through social media and radio about the importance of vaccination.
