A man accused of rape in an Emporia case from this past summer has been found not guilty.
Matthew Allen Patterson, 36, was acquitted of four counts including three of aggravated criminal sodomy and one of aggravated indecent liberties following a jury trial in Lyon County District Court earlier this week. One count of rape was dismissed prior to jury deliberations.
Patterson was accused of raping and fondling a then-9-year-old child in late June.
