High school musicians from across Kansas performed at Emporia State University on Saturday.
The performing students were part of the ESU Honors Band, a select invite-only group of over 70 performers. The students gathered at ESU on Saturday morning and practiced for several hours before performing along with the ESU Jazz Ensemble for a free concert.
Bands came to Emporia from as far away as Gardner-Edgerton. Students from Emporia, Lebo, Olpe, Osage City and Waverly were part of the Honors Band.
