Area business owners with questions about sales and compensating use taxes can attend a virtual workshop next week.
The Kansas Small Business Development Center is partnering with the Greater Morris County Development Center to offer a free online workshop at 5 pm Wednesday. The workshop is designed to give business owners an understanding of the goods and services subject to sales tax collections — and those that are exempt — as well as the differences between three main taxes: the Kansas Retailers’ Sales Tax, the Retailers’ Compensating Use Tax and the Consumers’ Compensating Use Tax.
