The United Way of the Flint Hills has announced a new partnership aimed at helping local farmers and ranchers become more involved with supporting the organization’s annual fundraising campaign.
The United Way and Emporia Livestock Sales have teamed up to offer these individuals an opportunity to donate portions of their livestock sales to the annual campaign. United Way Drive Chair Mike Argabright explains:
Emporia Livestock Sales owner Brody Peak says when Argabright approached him about the potential partnership there was no doubt he wanted to be involved.
Peak says nothing will change from the livestock sales side as they will conduct “business as normal.” However; once an individual has sold their livestock they will have the option of donating a dollar amount or percentage of those proceeds to the United Way campaign.
If you are interested in donating to the campaign through this new partnership or would like more information on the partnership and campaign call the United Way of the Flint Hills at 620-342-7564.
