After a year off, the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer the community its 43rd Christmas Parade on Tuesday night.
On KVOE’s Talk of Emporia, Chamber President and CEO Jeanine McKenna said this will be a time for the community to celebrate.
Activities start at 6:30 pm with the lighting and dedication ceremony outside the Trusler Business Center, featuring music from the Emporia High Chorale, a benediction, Christmas message and lighting of the Mayor’s Tree. The parade starts at 7 pm at Fourth and Commercial, working its way north to 12th.
Speaking of the parade, there could be something new this year: an unintended connection with Emporia, Virginia.
You can catch our parade coverage on air at 14 KVOE and 96.9 FM and online through KVOE-TV@KVOE.com and ValuNet FIBER channel 3. Regardless of the format, coverage starts at 7 pm.
