Flint Hills Technical College is nearing its winter commencement activities.
Events will take place Dec. 17, starting with the practical nursing pinning program at 4 pm at the college’s main campus, 3301 West 18th. Activities then move to the Humanitarian Center, 215 West Sixth, for the official graduation program starting at 6 pm.
President Caron Daugherty will offer the introductions before the formal remarks from Sherry Willard, command chief of the Kansas Air National Guard’s 190th Air Refueling Wing.
The college’s graduation activities overlap the first day of winter commencement activities for Emporia State University, which will celebrate its graduate students with ceremonies starting at 6 pm at White Auditorium. Undergraduate activities will be at White Auditorium starting at 9:30 am Dec. 18.
