Two vehicles were severely damaged, however, no serious injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident at 12th and Woodland Sunday afternoon.
Emporia Police and EMS were called to the intersection shortly after 1 pm for a two-vehicle collision involving an SUV and pickup truck. Full details, including a crash narrative, are currently pending, however, the SUV suffered significant front-end damage while the pickup had damage on the driver’s side.
The SUV was located in the intersection when authorities arrived on scene while the pickup had, for currently unknown reasons, hopped the curb and crossed over two residences yards missing several trees and a mailbox before coming to a stop.
According to Emporia Fire, no individuals were taken by ambulance to the hospital, although it is unclear if anyone went by private vehicle. Further information is pending through the Emporia Police Department.
