Court proceedings have begun for an Emporia man who allegedly led law enforcement on a vehicle pursuit in and around Emporia Wednesday, but not in that case.
Formal charges are still pending against 36-year-old Rolando Galindo following the alleged pursuit which began in the 2700 block of West 18th in Emporia Wednesday afternoon. The chase concluded in the 1800 block of Road Y when Galindo was apprehended after he barricaded himself inside an unoccupied home.
Formal charges are expected by Monday at the earliest from Lyon County District Court.
In the meantime, Galindo is currently in the midst of proceedings for three other criminal cases including another alleged vehicle pursuit from back in August. Galindo is charged with eight total counts in that case including felony flee and elude, aggravated assault of law enforcement, interference with law enforcement and felony possession of meth among other charges.
Galindo’s next appearance is set for Jan. 12 at 9 am.
Following that hearing, Galindo will return to district court for proceedings related to two alleged cases of domestic violence. Galindo had his first appearance in district court Thursday for a case that allegedly occurred in October as well as an arraignment hearing related to a bench warrant from an alleged case in March.
He will next appear in court for both cases at 8:30 am Feb. 28.
