Pioneer Bluffs is continuing to expand its educational offerings to visitors.
During a recent interview on KVOE’s Talk of Emporia, Director Lynn Smith discussed new interpretive signage coming to the property courtesy of a grant from the MFA Oil Foundation. The signage will provide educational information on plants, wildlife and the outdoors in general according to Smith.
The signs will be included in Pioneer Bluffs’ educational curriculum as part of its “A Day on the Prairie” field trip program for elementary-aged children. The new signage comes thanks to a $2,000 grant from MFA and “allows our company to give support back to the rural communities that are the foundation of our business” says MFA Oil Senior Director of Employee Engagement and Culture Tom May in a recent news release.
The signage is expected to be complete by spring of 2022 according to Smith. For more information visit Pioneerbluffs.org or find them on Facebook.
