The USD 253 Emporia Board of Education is meeting Wednesday, with education redesign, construction and annual reorganization on the agenda.
Board members will discuss whether to approve the redesign launch at Walnut Elementary and bids for a roof replacement at Walnut as part of separate agenda items. The board will also discuss course catalogs for Emporia Middle School and Emporia High students.
Construction matters will be led by an overall update from McCownGordon, followed by bids for work at Emporia High. Board members will also discuss a job description for a COVID-19 contact tracer before possibly approving the extension of Art Gutierrez as board president and Leslie Seeley as board vice president. Board representation on various committees will also be discussed.
One executive session on student remote access is planned.
The meeting is at 7 pm Wednesday at Mary Herbert.
