Lyon County commissioners have COVID-19 response, business development, purchases and a new look for LCAT all on their agenda for Thursday’s action meeting.
Commissioners will get the latest update on the county’s COVID-19 situation with Lyon County Health Officer Dr. Ladun Oyenuga and Public Health Incident Commander Renee Hively near the end of the meeting.
Near the start and as part of separate portions of the agenda, commissioners will discuss a Community Development Block Grant already approved to benefit A-1 Pump and Jet as well as a possible letter of support for a Good Jobs challenge grant through the Center for Rural Innovation. The CORI grant may be approved during the consent agenda, where several items can be acted upon with one vote, while the A-1 Pump and Jet grant will be discussed as its own agenda item.
Other business includes several equipment bids for the county’s Highway Department and a long-sought redesign of LCAT buses. LCAT Director Shane Brunner will present a $9,300 quote from Mountain Graphics for the fleet, with matching funds available from the state.
Three executive sessions are also planned, one for non-elected personnel matters and two for legal issues.
The meeting is at 9 am in the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
