The support group for Newman Regional Health has a new slate of executive board members and a new name.
Known as the Newman Regional Health Auxiliary for years, the organization is now known as Newman Regional Health Volunteers. Earlier this month, it announced two-year terms for its executive board, including:
*Lynn Lang, President
*Jan McClendon, Vice-President
*Mary Tholen, Treasurer
*Vickie Dinkel, Assistant Treasurer
*Cindy Paul, Secretary
*Immediate Past President, Carolyn Hossfeld
The local name change follows similar action at the state level. The Hospital Auxiliaries of Kansas voted in September to change its name to Hospital Volunteers of Kansas. The local auxiliary did not need to change the name but did so last year.
