A statewide Silver Alert was issued briefly for a missing Council Grove woman has been canceled.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says Hazel E Casper, 85, was taken without authorization from an unspecified Council Grove healthcare facility by her stepson, 54-year-old Timothy Craker. Casper was found in Wellington on Friday evening. The KBI says she is safe and Craker was detained afterward.
