Both of the state’s US senators are calling on fellow lawmakers and President Joe Biden to extend federal funding for telehealth services as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
Roger Marshall and Jerry Moran are asking for provisions in the CONNECT for Health Act to remain in the budget, which is up for another vote next month. Keeping those provisions in the budget would let Medicare patients continue using telehealth as a way to “expand access to care, reduce costs and improve health outcomes.”
Currently, 45 senators are on board with this bipartisan effort.
