Fundraising continues as the United Way of the Flint Hills’ annual campaign passes a monetary milestone.
On KVOE’s Morning Show on Wednesday, Chief Executive Officer Mickey Edwards said the campaign has pushed beyond the 50-percent mark, meaning over $237,500 has been pledged against the goal of $475,000. She says donations have an impact on the different community partners — and on a much more personal level.
Drive chair Mike Argabright agrees. He says the campaign has an education piece along with the fundraising aspect.
The drive raises funds for 25 community partners in Lyon County and seven nearby counties. One of the bigger activities coming up is the annual United Way Drive-KVOE Morning Show Auction starting Feb. 28.
