The Emporia State baseball team is scheduled to open their season Sunday against Northern State in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Aaron Bechtel is slated to be the starting pitcher for the Hornets.
Junior Chandler Bloomer says they are looking forward to getting the season started.
The Hornets will play Southwestern Oklahoma Monday and Oklahoma Baptist Tuesday.
