The Emporia State baseball team hosts Colorado State-Pueblo Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in their home openers. The Hornets are 2-1 after last weekend. Senior outfielder Sam Chaput called it a good start.
They will play a doubleheader today. The first game begins at 1 pm with the second game scheduled for 4 pm at the Trusler Sports Complex – Glennen Field.
Emporia States Softball team opens play in the Alvy Early Classic in Bentonville, Arkansas. The Lady Hornets take a 3-2 record with them. Senior outfield Brittanie Shepherd, this weeks MIAA hitter of the week, is looking forward to the rest of the season.
They will play Harding and Arkansas Monticello today.
The Emporia State womens tennis team hosts Tabor in a duel with matches beginning at 4 pm.
The Emporia State track and field teams will be competing in the Gorilla Classic at Pittsburg State today and tomorrow.
