Seven members of the Emporia High boys wrestling team have earned trips to state.
Xerarch Tungjaroenkul will be going as a regional champion at 145 pounds.
The Spartans had three 4th place finishers, Lukas Hainline, Davian White, and Bobby Trujillo.
Jesse Ultreras finished 5th, Braxton Malone 6th, and Josiah Bradley 8th.
As a team, Emporia High finished in 4th place at regionals. Goddard won the regional championship. Newton finished in 2nd place and Maize finished in 3rd place.
The 5A State wrestling tournament will be held next Friday and Saturday at Hartman Arena in Park City.
