1A boys Sub-State Basketball play began Thursday night.
From the Olpe Sub-State:
The Madison vs Oswego game was postponed and will be played Saturday at 2 pm.
Burlingame defeated St. Paul 76-29 and will play the winner of the Madison Oswego game next Thursday in the semi-finals.
Olpe will play Colony Crest next Thursday in the semi-finals. Colony Crest defeated Marmaton Valley 44-41.
From the Lebo Sub-State:
Hartford defeated Altoona Midway 66-47. Hartford will play Lebo next Thursday in the semi-finals.
Waverly defeated Chetopa 71-19.
Marais des Cygnes Valley outscored Southern Coffey County 59-42.
Waverly plays Marais des Cygnes Valley in the other semi-final.
The girls play their first-round games Friday night.
From the Olpe sub-state:
Olpe plays at Marmaton Valley.
Burlingame hosts Oswego – tipoff at 6 pm.
Madison hosts Colony Crest.
Madison defeated Colony Crest in a game Monday and Madison Coach Vanessa Kresin says they cannot take Crest for granted.
That game will be broadcast on Country 101.7FM with tipoff at 7 pm.
From the Lebo Sub-state:
Hartford hosts Marais des Cygnes Valley.
Waverly hosts Altoona Midway.
Southern Coffey County hosts Chetopa with tipoff set for 6 pm.
