Two of the four people arrested by Emporia Police on Tuesday on suspicion of drug sales have been formally charged.
Assistant Lyon County Attorney Carissa Brinker says 29-year-old Ashley Ollenberger of Americus and 24-year-old Christopher Johnson of Strong City now face single counts of distributing marijuana. Ollenberger also faces a count of illegal drug distribution using a communication device.
No charges are being filed at this time against 29-year-old Shelby Moellenkamp and 28-year-old Michael Smith, both of Strong City.
Emporia Police have not detailed the situation leading to the arrests. Court documentation and word on first court appearances are pending.
