A late-game rally came up short for Kansas State in a 74-73 loss to Iowa State Saturday.
The Wildcats trailed by 15 points with just over 11 minutes to play in the game and trailed by 12 with over 2 minutes to play before cutting the deficit to 2 at 72-70 with 16 seconds to play. Kansas State was unable to tie the game or take the lead. Nijel Pack led the Wildcats with 32 points. Markquis Nowell added 16 points and Mark Smith finished with 12 points.
Kansas State plays at Texas Tech Monday night.
