A wreck southwest of Emporia led to an emergency medical response but no hospital transports Tuesday morning.
Early indications are a semi and car collided near the Kansas Turnpike’s Flint Hills cattle pens exit around 14 miles southwest of the Emporia tollgate. The crash was reported around 7:30 am. Two patients were observed afterward but declined ambulance trips.

Emporia Fire and Kansas Highway Patrol troopers are responding to a wreck with reported injuries on the Kansas Turnpike.
Authorities were alerted to the crash around 7:30 am. The crash is being reported at mile marker 113 southbound, about a mile northeast of the Flint Hills cattle pens exit and 14 miles southwest of the Emporia tollgate.
