An improved sound system is coming to the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building following the Lyon County Commission’s weekly action session Thursday.
During the meeting, commissioners approved a bid of $19,107.67 presented by County Controller Dan Williams for updates to the Anderson Building. Those updates will include a new amplifier for the building’s audio system.
The audio updates will be handled by Neal Nurnberg of Complete Home Systems based in Overland Park. Williams also presented a bid for the purchase of 10 new phone sets through ValuNet Fiber in the amount of $5,077.21.
Commissioners also approved the Lyon County Area Transportation Title VI policy and supporting documents presented by LCAT Director Shane Brunner. Commissioners also approved registration fees for county employees participating in Walk Kansas in an amount not to exceed $600.
A proclamation recognizing the 100th birthday of Newman Regional Health was also approved and read.
Commissioners will reconvene for their weekly action session next Thursday at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
