The Emporia State men’s basketball team will play their first game in the MIAA tournament Friday night, facing Washburn.
Tip-off is set for 6 pm.
This is the third meeting between the two teams with Washburn winning both games.
Emporia State Senior Brenden Van Dyke says they are looking forward to the re-rematch.

It will be a game-time decision for Emporia States leading scorer Tray Buchanan. He left last Saturday’s game in the first half with a foot/ankle injury.
The winner will play Central Oklahoma in one of Saturday’s semi-finals games.
Central Oklahoma defeated Northeastern State 77-66. Northwest Missouri State also advanced to the semi-finals with a 72-50 win over Rogers State. Northwest will play the winner of the Fort Hays State vs Missouri Southern Game.
In women’s play, Missouri Southern defeated Washburn 62-54 and Fort Hays State outscored Central Oklahoma 71-63.
Friday’s quarterfinal games have Central Missouri playing Missouri Western and Nebraska Kearney playing Northwest Missouri State.
