The Emporia State football team will begin spring practices Wednesday.
Coach Garin Higgins says this is a chance to evaluate younger players.
The Hornets are coming off a 6-6 season that ended playing in the Live United Bowl. The Hornets return 18 players that started in the Live United Bowl game.
Coach Higgins says they will also do some fine-tuning this spring.
Spring practices will wrap up on April 22nd with the Legends and Spring game.
