Emporia Police say they have made an arrest and recovered property, including a firearm, after an alleged auto burglary on the Lee Beran Recreation Center property earlier this month.
Police Capt. Ray Mattas says investigators acted on leads from surveillance video and from Lyon County Crime Stoppers beginning Tuesday after the alleged incident March 3. John Primeaux, age 53, was arrested in the 800 block of Congress on suspicion of burglary and theft.
Mattas says officers recovered property from two separate and unspecified locations, including the firearm. Details about the weapon are not being released at this time.
Formal charges are pending.
