The Kansas Jayhawks have advanced to the semi-finals of the Big-12 basketball tournament with an 87-63 win over West Virginia Thursday. The Jayhawks never trailed. West Virginia Coach Bob Huggins was assessed 2 technicals in the first half and was ejected from the game.
Ochai Agbaji led the way with 18 points. Jalen Wilson finished with 15 points and Christian Braun had a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Kansas Coach Bill Self said they did some things very well.
The Jayhawks will play TCU in Friday’s semi-final game. TCU defeated Texas 65-60.
Tipoff is set for 6 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
In the other Big-12 quarterfinal games:
Oklahoma upset Baylor 72-67.
Texas Tech outscored Iowa State 72-41.
The women’s Big-12 Tournament continues Friday in Kansas City at Municipal Auditorium.
Kansas plays Oklahoma at 11 am
Kansas State plays Texas in the 7:30 game.
