The Kansas Jayhawks won the Big-12 tournament championship and earned the automatic NCAA Tournament bid with a 74-65 win over Texas Tech.
Kansas led for most of the game, their biggest lead was by 12 points late in the game. There were also 14 lead changes and 5 ties.
Coach Bill Self called it a good team win.
Kansas had 5 players score in double-figures led by David McCormack with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Ochai Agbaji added 16 points.
Christian Braun finished with 14 points.
Remy Martin and Jalen Wilson both scored 12 points.
Agbaji and Braun were selected to the All-Tournament Team, with Agbaji named the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
The rest of the NCAA Tournament field will be announced Sunday.
The Selection Show will be carried on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 5 pm.
The American Athletic Conference Championship game will also be carried Sunday afternoon beginning at 2 pm.
