The Emporia High girls swim team finished in 4th place in the Emporia Invite Thursday.
The Lady Spartans had 11 top 10 finishes.
Emporia High Coach Jamie Dawson called it a good start to the season.
The best finish was Brooklyn Wiltz’s 3rd place finish in the 50 free. Brooklyn also finished in 7th place in the 100 free.
She was part of the 200 free relay with Alison Brown, Faith Finley, and Arianna Hamilton that finished in 5th place.
She was also a part of the 400 free relay with Arianna Hamilton, Seoul Bishoff, and Alison Brown that finished in 8th place.
Alison Brown finished in 7th place in the 100 backstroke.
Alison Brown finished 7th and Arianna Hamilton finished 8th in the 200 free.
In the 500 free Arianna Hamilton finished 7th, Ryan Peak 8th, and Ashlyn Garriott 9th.
The 200 medley relay of Carlee Wright, Faith Finley, Seoul Bishoff, and Ryan Peak finished in 10th place.
Lawrence Free State finished in 1st place, Washburn Rural was 2nd and Lawrence finished 3rd.
