The Emporia State baseball team begins a 3 game series with Missouri Southern Friday evening.
The Hornets go into the series tied for 8th place in the MIAA Standings. Southern is in 7th place.
The Hornets are being led offensively by Freshman Catcher TJ Racherbaumer. He has the 5th best batting average in the MIAA with a 388 average. He has 26 hits, 8 doubles, 5 home runs, and 20 RBI.
Racherbaumer says they have to stay confident.
The first pitch is set for 5 pm at the Trusler Sports Complex, Glennen Field.
The two teams will play a single game Saturday and a single game Sunday.
