For the 10th time in school history the Kansas Jayhawks will be playing in the NCAA Mens Basketball Championship game.
The Jayhawks the lone remaining number 1 seed earned a spot in the championship game with an 81-65 win over Villanova.
Kansas Coach Bill Self said they came ready to play.
David McCormack led the offense with 25 points.
Ochai Agbaji added 21 points.
Jalen Wilson finished with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. Christian Braun scored 10 points.
The Jayhawks led from beginning to end. The biggest lead was by 19 points in the 1st half. They closed out the game with a 17-8 run.
Kansas will play North Carolina in the Championship game. North Carolina outscored Duke 81-77 in the other Final 4 game.
This will be the 2nd meeting between Kansas and North Carolina in the Championship game. North Carolina won the 1957 title game in 3 overtimes.
The Women’s National Championship game will be played Sunday night with Connecticut playing South Carolina.
