The past nearly three months have been all go and very little stop for Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas President Chuck Scott.
Scott says in the months since he took over the presidency from Kent Heerman in January, he has been putting in several miles on the road. The high amount of travel has been a part of Scott’s effort to continue growing local and state relationships while also working to further familiarize himself with his new surroundings.
Thus far, Scott says his time in Emporia has lived up to his expectations.
While speaking with KVOE Monday, Scott was asked the state of the local workforce, which has been a troublesome topic across the nation in recent months. Scott says the local area is no exception, however, he says it is important to keep in mind that while it is a challenge, it is not an insurmountable issue.
