Junction City swept the Emporia High baseball team in a doubleheader Wednesday.
Junction City won the first game 7-3. Emporia High scored a run in the 1st inning. Jaxon Dial scored on a Vance Kinsey single. Junction City answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st and never trailed the rest of the game. Emporia High did score 2 runs in the 3rd inning to tie the game at 3. Junction City added 2 runs in the 3rd inning and 2 more in the 6th inning.
In the 2nd game, Junction City scored 4 runs in the 1st inning on the way to an 11-2 win. The Spartans scored both runs in the 4th inning.
The Spartans are now 2-2 for the season they will host Hayden on Friday.
