The Emporia State baseball team powered past Newman 16-6 in 7 innings Saturday. The Hornets hit 5 home runs on the day. They hit 4 of them in the 6th inning, 3 of them back to back to back.
T.J. Racherbaumer hit 2 three run home runs and finished with 8 RBI.
Javier Pena, Dylan Werries, and Kadyn Williams also hit home runs for the Hornets.
Emporia State and Newman wrap up their 3 game series Sunday afternoon with the first pitch at 1 pm at the Trusler Sports Complex.
