Two local businesses are looking to give back to an Emporia institution through a brand new fundraiser and community involvement is a necessity.
Trolly House Distillery and Twin Rivers Winery have partnered with the David Traylor Zoo for a “Name the Wine or Whiskey Cocktail” fundraiser. David Traylor Zoo Director Lisa Keith laid out the details on KVOE’s Morning Show Monday.
Keith says all suggestions need to be submitted by Apr. 22. Following that deadline, three finalists will be selected and the community will have the opportunity to vote for the winner through May 20 with the winning name to be announced on May 24.
Residents can submit their suggestions either at Trolley House at 502 South Commerical Street, Twin Rivers at 627 Commercial, the David Traylor Zoo Education Center or by going online to Emporiazoo.org.
