The weeklong search for a missing Marion County man came to an end after his body was found in the Cottonwood River Saturday morning.
Chase and Marion County authorities had been searching for Jason Hinton following a crash near Cedar Point around 7:30 pm Tuesday, Apr. 5. Hinton was reported missing after reportedly crashing his white Ford Ranger pickup on private property.
According to Chase County Sheriff Richard Dorneker, Hinton’s body was found Saturday at approximately 10:30 am in the Cottonwood near the crash site. An investigation is ongoing with a formal autopsy pending.
