We’re in the middle of April, but frosty conditions aren’t done with the KVOE listening area just yet.
Frost advisories cover most of the KVOE listening area for early Monday, with Lyon, Coffey, Osage and Wabaunsee counties in an advisory from 4-8 am and Chase and Greenwood counties in a separate advisory from 4-9 am. Low temperatures could approach 32 degrees in these counties.
Morris County is in a freeze warning from 4-8 am with overnight lows possibly going down near 30 degrees.
Cold air returns early Tuesday morning as well. Coffey and Osage counties are in a freeze watch from 4-8 am with low temperatures possibly reaching 31 degrees.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops or other sensitive plants, so the National Weather Service advises residents to protect those plants as best they can. We’ll keep you updated on KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media.
