Emporia State men’s basketball has received a verbal commitment from a Division I transfer.
Owen Long who was at Youngstown State this past season committed on Twitter to transfer to Emporia State.
He is a 6-2 guard and played in 30 games as a reserve.
He also spent 2 seasons at Maryville College where he averaged 19 points per game as a sophomore.
Emporia State Coach Craig Doty says he will offer some scoring punch.
He joins Royal Valley High School guard Nahcs Wahwassuck and Lawrence Free State High School guard Jordan Brown in the Hornets recruiting class for next year.
