An unsettled weather pattern is in place through the upcoming weekend for the Flint Hills.
There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorm activity for areas along and east of the Kansas Turnpike for Wednesday. Hail is the main concern if enough instability forms by late afternoon.
There is also a slight risk areawide for Thursday. Two rounds of activity are possible, one in the morning and one by late afternoon or early evening. Hail would be the main issue with the morning round, with all hazards possible with the second round — depending on the activity Thursday morning.
Showers and storms are also possible Saturday into early Sunday.
