Topeka High swept the Emporia High baseball team Tuesday night.
Topeka won the first game 8-1. Emporia High scored their lone run in the 7th inning Max Rusco scored on an error. The Spartans scored the 1 run on 2 hits.
Topeka High won the 2nd game 11-1. Emporia High scored their lone run in the 1st inning, Cam Geitz scoring on a Vance Kinsey single. The Spartans did not help their own cause striking out 10 times and committed 5 errors.
Emporia High Coach Anthony Markowitz said it was not a good night for the Spartans.
The Spartans are now 5-7 for the season they are scheduled to play at Topeka Seaman next Tuesday.
