Emporia States baseball team picked up a run-rule 10-0 win over Rockhurst Tuesday night.
The Hornets broke a scoreless tie with 4 runs in the 4th inning. They scored 2 of the runs off of errors. Kadyn Williams drove in a run with a single and Chandler Bloomer drove in a run with a double. Emporia State added 5 runs in the 6th inning. Sawyer Slayden drove in 2 runs with a single and T.J. Racherbaumer drove in 2 runs with a double.
Joe Daneff ended the game with a solo home run in the 7th.
Cade Barton was the winning pitcher he tossed a 1-hitter with 10 strikeouts over 7 innings.
The Hornets will resume MIAA play this weekend with a series at Missouri Western.
