Lynch pitched 5 innings giving up 4 hits to earn his 1st win of the season.
Collin Snider, Jake Brentz, Josh Staumont, and Scott Barlow each pitched a scoreless inning in relief. Barlow earned his first save as the Royals bullpen has now gone 17.1 scoreless innings.
The Royals scored a run in the 1st inning, Whit Merrifield scored when Bobby Witt jr grounded into a double play.
The Royals added a 2nd run in the 5th inning, and Andrew Benintendi scored on an Adalberto Mondesi bunt single.
The Royals and Twins play again Thursday afternoon. Zack Greinke will make the start for the Royals with the first pitch set for 1:10 pm.
