A Madison woman had minor injuries after her pickup crashed outside Olpe on Saturday, apparently due to high winds at the time.
Lyon County Deputy Brandon Early says 57-year-old Theresa Pryor was driving her pickup southbound on Kansas Highway 99 when her truck and camper left the highway shortly before 6:20 am. The truck hit a concrete culvert before stopping.
An ambulance took Pryor to Newman Regional Health with apparently non-life-threatening injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time.
Wind gusts were at or above 40 mph between 6 and 7 am.

One person suffered apparently non-life-threatening injuries after a crash near Olpe early Saturday, but that person was still transported for medical care afterward.
The crash happened just before 6:30 am in the 700 block of Kansas Highway 99 and involved a pickup hauling a camper. One person was taken to Newman Regional Health with apparently minor injuries.
Details about how the crash unfolded are being investigated, but early indications are wind may have played a role in the crash. Wind gusts were at or above 40 mph between 6 and 7 am.

7:20 am Saturday: Crash with reported injuries develops outside Olpe
Lyon County deputies and Emporia-Lyon County EMS responded to a crash with reported injuries early Saturday.
Emporia Fire says the crash in the 700 block of Kansas Highway 99 near Olpe happened just before 6:30 am and involved a pickup hauling a camper. There is currently no word on the number of patients observed on site or whether anybody is being transported to hospitals for medical care.
Early indications are wind may have played a role in the crash. Wind gusts were at or above 40 mph between 6 and 7 am.
Highway 99 traffic is currently being diverted around the crash site.
