Newman defeates Emporia State tennis teams 5-2

Newman defeated both the Emporia State women’s and men’s tennis teams 5-2 in duels Friday.
In the women’s duel for Emporia State Karen Santiago Sanchez won at number 2 singles and Paige Stangehoner won at number 3 singles.
In the men’s duel, Emporia State won the doubles point winning at number 2 doubles with Luiz Maia and Pablo Caranza and at number 3 doubles with Andy Graf and Jaden Tredway.
Jaden Tredway also won at number 6 singles.
The Emporia State women will be the number 7 seed in the MIAA Tournament next week.
The season came to an end for the Emporia State men.
