After some tweaking, the new outdoor warning siren in Americus is ready for the rest of the severe weather season.
The siren was delivered by Table Rock Alerting Systems, a Missouri firm, to the town late last week. Installation was completed by the weekend and fine-tuning was completed Tuesday.
The siren was brought to town after the previous siren failed in March. It’s located outside Americus City Hall.
