Sentencing is Thursday afternoon for an Emporia man initially charged with attempted murder in a case from last year.
Ronald W Schemm was charged after an incident in the 900 block of Waverly in August 2021, where he was accused of trying to kill a woman and threatening two men with a gun. He pleaded no contest in March to an amended count of voluntary manslaughter.
Sentencing is at 4 pm in Lyon County District Court.
