Lyon County will no longer owe $2,500 for costs related to online zoning permitting procedures.
During their weekly action meeting, commissioners voted unanimously to cancel a $2,500 purchase order from late November for online portal development and other related costs dealing with the county’s new online zoning permit program. Schneider Corporation, the business tasked to handle the development work, decreased the cost meaning the county no longer owes the previous amount.
Commissioners also gave approval for County Appraiser Ryan Janzen to attend the 2022 IAAO conference in Boston this August. Commissioners also approved an amount not to exceed $1,100 to cover a portion of Janzen’s travel and related expenses with Janzen self-funding half of the cost of attendance.
In other business, commissioners held three executive sessions, two for legal matters and one for non-elected personnel, before adjourning the meeting.
Commissioners will reconvene for their weekly action session next Thursday at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
