Emporia Police are investigating after a crash early Monday morning in the northeast part of the city.
Officers, Lyon County deputies and Emporia-Lyon County EMS initially responded to the intersection of 12th and Burlingame, according to Emporia Fire Battalion Chief Ryan Coley, but found a car had crashed on Interstate 35 near that junction. The driver was found outside the vehicle and was later taken to Newman Regional Health with apparently non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver’s name has not been released. Additional details about the wreck are currently pending.
