With National Nurses Week officially starting Friday, Emporia State University’s Department of Nursing will host an open house for its current facility.
The nursing department has an open house at Cora Miller Hall, 1127 Chestnut, from 1-2 pm. Students will lead tours and both students and faculty will be available for questions. Residents attending can also see poster presentations and live simulation demonstrations.
Emporia State has recently announced plans to move the nursing department from Cora Miller Hall to the university’s Central Morse Hall by summer 2024 as part of an $8 million project. The open house is also part of the department’s 100th-anniversary celebration this year.
